Website Pessimization (also known as de-optimization) is the process of deliberately lowering a website’s rankings and visibility in search engine results. Unlike optimization, which is aimed at improving a site’s ranking, pessimizaton is carried out with the goal of decreasing its positions in search results.
Reasons for Website Pessimization
The motivations behind website pessimizaton can vary and may include the following factors:
Malicious competitor actions: Competitors may intentionally de-optimize your site using unfair methods. This can include creating spammy backlinks, sending negative signals to search engines, or spreading harmful content about your site.
